Adult Therapy Clinic

Our experience includes teaching, researching and practicing clinical psychology; our overarching value is that treatment must fit the client.

Training and supervision - The Sydney Psychology Practice

Our Adult Therapy Clinic provides psychological support for adults navigating a range of emotional, relational, health-related and life concerns. Clients may seek therapy during periods of stress, transition, low mood, anxiety, trauma, grief, adjustment difficulties, relationship strain, or when longstanding patterns begin to interfere with wellbeing, confidence or day-to-day functioning. You can find more information about the common psychological concerns we treat.

Therapy is tailored to each person’s circumstances and goals, drawing on evidence-informed approaches while attending to the broader context of a person’s life. The clinic aims to provide a thoughtful, collaborative and affirming space where clients can better understand their experiences, build practical coping strategies, strengthen resilience, and make changes that feel meaningful and sustainable over time.

Dr Shiraze Bulsara sees adults for a range of mental health concerns but has a particular interest and experience in supporting people manage the psychological impacts of chronic health conditions, including women’s health and pelvic pain.

Dr John McAloon’s work with adults typically focuses on identifying a specific area of concern and working to return demonstrable change in it. This forms the basis for consolidating and generalising that change across other areas of the client’s life.

Prior to treatment commencing, we will arrange a time to have a brief discussion with prospective clients. This allows us to understand what has prompted your contact and gives you the opportunity to ask us questions, to ensure the best fit possible. If you would like to arrange a free 15-minute discussion, please contact us.
